Sports Massage

Sports massage is the manipulation of soft tissue to benefit a person on a daily basis or during regular physical activity, Soft tissue consists of muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia. Sports massage enables the soft tissue to relax and correct problems and imbalances, which can be caused by injuries or repetitive and strenuous activity. Massage is also a great way to release tension within muscles, improve circulation, helps the elimination of waste product, aids relaxation, promotes a better nights sleep, and can help with stress levels.

Injury Rehabilitation

A rehabilitation programme will be used when you have experienced an injury and need to return back to play or return to everyday living within a pain free zone. This will consist of various stages and will combine rehabilitation techniques used by the therapist along with a series of exercise including stretches to gain improvement.

Injury  assessment

A variety of injury assessments comprising of a series of diagnostic tests will be used to help determine the cause of the pain that you may be experiencing. With this knowledge it can lead to a tailored rehabilitation plan to return you back to play or to pain free living.

Rock Tape

Rock tape is a form of kinesiotaping which contains elastic it provides a constant pull or shear force to the skin

Rock tape can be applied to an area and helps to reduce the pain as it interferes with the pan signals.

Helps to decompress an area of swelling and inflammation

It delays fatigue

It normalises muscle tone

It distributes physical stress

Postural Analysis

Posture analysis, can be carried out within an initial assessment to identify your static posture and body alignment. It can identify whether you have any postural deviations, imbalances or muscle weaknesses, which then enables you to receive the best form of treatment.

Post Sports Massage

A post sports massage is performed after an intense training or competition has been completed. This will aid you to recover from the event you have just taken part in. This massage will need to be perform within 48 hours.

Pre Sports Massage

A pre event massage can be used prior to workout, competition or sporting performance. The aim is to excite the muscles and increase blood circulation, flexibility and mentally prepare yourself before the event. The duration is shorter then a normal treatment.
